A very fine filter holder! ideal for short Backfocus
There are several applications that require regular filter changes; Usually you remove the camera or eyepiece from the telescope, unscrew the filter and screw on a different filter, reinsert everything into the telescope and focus again.
All this is boring and time consuming!
Different possible applications
Astrophotography: LRGB imaging, narrowband imaging, using different contrast filters or nebula filters
Planetary observation: Ideal for using color filters. The very fast filter change thanks to the drawer allows you to compare in an instant the different effects provided by the different filters, while saving you a lot of time!
Deep sky observation: you can directly compare the differences between UHC, OIII and other filters; this allows you to capture the most detail of every object you observe!
Available in two versions: one with T2 male connection and one with M48 male connection
Advantages of the filter drawer compared to other systems
- There is no limit to the number of filters you can use
- Really low profile (only 16.45mm, the lowest on the market!)
- Illuminated field as much as possible
- It takes up less space than a filter wheel
- Filters not in use at this time can be stored and protected from dust and humidity; in a classic wheel, the filters are never completely protected!
