ADJUSTMENT SYSTEM

• Real diamonds form a never-before-seen, high-precision micro-gear drive system
• Compared to crayfords and conventional focus racks, this micro motion reducer has zero dead time, zero cog, zero inflection.
• Diamond Steeltrack 2” focuser rack lifts a payload of 6kg (13lbs) upwards without slipping and without excessive bearing preload (bearing preload can be increased if required)
• The bearing system uses unbreakable roller bearings instead of simple ball bearings – higher load cranks with more rigidity and precision. There are no Teflon pads everywhere
• 1:10 stainless steel focuser, ready for optional Diamond Steeldrive carbon thermal compensation system
• Tuning box is reversible for right or left handed use for fine tuning operations and for attaching the Diamond Steeldrive motor unit
• Simple mechanical design achieves optimum balance between rack height (optical draw) and stiffness requirements
• A lock button to precisely stop any movement without affecting the adjustment of the optical axis

FOCUS SLIDING TUBE:

• Each bearing is individually adjustable for precise mechanical alignment to the optical axis.
• Bearing races are coated with a very hard subzero – precision machined and much harder than anodized or stainless steel
• The inner diameter of 55mm, to prevent vignetting, with anti-reflective and deflector angle

FASTENING SYSTEM :

• The S58 dovetail clamp ring built into the focus tube to accommodate optional T-2/M48/M68 and S58 direct threaded adapters and other 2” clampless accessories and cameras
• 2'' eyepiece clamp with hardened bronze clamp (length: 12.5mm/1/2'') is included in the standard version
• Optionally available: Baader S58 2" Clicklock clamp (#2956258) with S58 clamping ring (additional length 16mm/5/8inch)
• Two auxiliary threads (M60x1 and M55x0.75) are present on the RT&NT focusing tube for dedicated attachment to field flatteners or focal reducers or correctors
