M54 Field Rotator - ZWO

Since its announcement, the ZWO CAA field rotator has been eagerly awaited, and its features and price are surprising. The renowned Chinese manufacturer thus offers many astrophotographers the opportunity to upgrade their equipment. A field rotator allows you to change the framing of a shot without touching the instrument, thus preventing any movement in your shots. Thanks to its solid construction, the ZWO CAA prevents any tilt in your images.

The included motor allows rotation up to 7.5° per second, making it very fast for fine-tuning your framing. The high torque of 25cn.m allows it to support APS-C or 35mm format cameras with or without a filter wheel. Its thickness of only 16.5mm makes it easy to maintain the 55mm of backfocus typically required for the output of a corrector/reducer or field flattener.

Connect the CAA via its M54 female input to the corrector of your telescope or refractor, or via an optional M48F/M54M adapter ring. You can also connect the CAA output to an M48 filter wheel using the included second M48M output. Control is done via an ASIAIR unit by connecting the CAA to your camera. It is ASCOM compatible if you use third-party software.
