Heating rings for C14 FASTAR / C14 Edge / RASA 14 "- CELESTRON
The heating ring is ideal for preventing the appearance of dew on the closing blade of your Celestron telescope. This accessory allows you to improve the quality of your astronomical observations by heating the closing blade of your telescope to prevent fogging. Quick and easy to fit, the heating ring can be installed permanently on your tube, so you won't forget it.
How it works
Principle
The heating ring replaces the ring that attaches the Schmidt blade to your tube. Made from rigid, lightweight and durable aluminium, the ring holds your telescope blade in place and allows cables to pass through. Unlike other heating systems that are placed on the outside of the tube, the heating ring heats the blade directly, which is much more effective at preventing fogging.
Connect the ring to an external 12V power source for constant, continuous heat that will prevent fogging. The heating ring has two clips to safely store the power and thermistor cables when not in use, as well as allowing installation of your telescope's dust cover.
⚠ This heating ring is supplied with an RCA cable and we advise you to use a dedicated heating resistor controller to limit the power. Avoid connecting it directly to a 12v source.
The heating ring also comes with a cable guide block that attaches to the front of the tube. It holds the power supply and thermistor cables in place to prevent them from dangling, thus reducing the risk of the cables becoming disconnected.
