Description

Image calibration is a very important step in the processing of an astronomical image.
Raw images are images of a celestial object captured by DSLR or Astronomical Camera.
Each pixel of the images will have a numerical value which includes the following characteristics:

  •         Light from celestial objects in the field of view.
  •         The different types of noise generated by the sensor.
  •         Optical system faults.
  •         Sensor inhomogeneities (pixels more or less sensitive to light)
  •         Optical vignetting (image is darker away from center)
  •         Dust on the sensor window
  •         Internal thoughts



The Flat screen allows the realization of calibration images which allow the removal of vignetting and dust induced by an optical system.
the FLAT Geoptik screen has a rheostat to adjust the light intensity.
Powered by 12V; Cigarette lighter cable included.


With its three plastic screws, you can fix it on telescopes with an external diameter of 292 to 372mm
