Description

Corrector/reducer 0.85x for 80ED

This accessory is necessary because the refractors (glasses) provide a curved focal plane, the stars are not pointlike near the edges. The reducer/corrector provides a corrected image up to the edge of the field. It screws directly onto the crayford of the scope (M56 thread). Optimized for the Sky-Watcher 80ED f/7.5 Black Diamond (Doublet) glasses, this screw-on reducer/corrector reduces the focal length of the glasses by a factor of 0.85x (induced focal ratio of f/6.375).

The use of a focal reducer in astrophotography also makes it possible to reduce the exposure time. It will be necessary to use a wide field M48 T ring dedicated to your camera

CAUTION: Not suitable for Sky-Watcher ESPRIT 80ED (triplet) goggles.
