This visual photo corrector-reducer is compatible with all Schmidt-Cassegrain Celestron (non-Edge HD) 5", 6", 8", 9.25", 11" and 14" telescopes. This optical accessory offers the possibility of using your instrument with two aperture ratios: original F/10 and F/6.3 for the Celestron range listed above and F/7 for the C14.
This accessory is made up of 4 lenses with anti-reflective coating on all surfaces to maintain very good image quality.
Used in astrophotography, it reduces exposure time by a factor of 3.
The applications for visual and photographic observations are numerous.
Although this reducer can be used visually, its interest is quite different. Screwed directly onto the SC thread of your tube, it will greatly reduce the focal length of your instrument and therefore its F/D ratio. The luminosity of your tube will be increased and thus you will obtain more signal on your images.
The Backfocus is 86mm from the back of the C/R and therefore leaves you with plenty of possibilities for use.
The rear thread of the corrector is in SCT format. It will therefore be necessary to think of an adapter ring thread SCT to M42 or M48 depending on what you are looking for (optional see related products).
