The color-pure 130 mm apochromat is equally well suited for visual observation and astrophotography. Thanks to the FPL55 APO element, the imaging is first-class and in practice indistinguishable from the world-famous LZOS lenses from Russia.
The apo is still transportable with a weight of about 11 kg and is well supported by mounts of the EQ6 class or Losmandy G-11 class.
The triplet objective with 130 mm aperture and 910 mm focal length meets the criteria of a full apo. Even at magnifications around 450x, the image is free of distracting chromatic aberrations. Even bright stars are displayed on astrophotos without disturbing blue fringes.
The APO element consists of FPL55, which is comparable to the well-known FPL53. Another special glass supports the chromatic correction. The air-spaced triplet lens is fully adjustable. Each optical glass air surface is multi-coated. The lens is in a temperature compensated adjustable mount.
The large focuser is optimized for photography and can carry a load of up to 8 kg. The extension tube is adjusted via a micro transmission. We also offer motorized focusing for the focuser. Several internal threads are available for screwed adaptations. The focuser also offers 360° rotation for selecting the correct image section.
The generous working distance of 140 mm from the 2" receptacle is suitable for almost all applications. A removable segment between the focuser and tube can even extend the distance to 240 mm. This allows, for example, binoviewers to be used without additional glass path compensation.
To achieve the optimal imaging in the field, a corrector is needed. The corrector is screwed directly to the M92 thread of the apo. We recommend two correctors, both are suitable for cameras up to full format.
