Askar presents the brand new 80PHQ refractive astrographer. And it is the second astrograph with a long focal relationship of the Phq family.
The global finish of 80phq is uniformly painted. The ivory and default coating of the main tube is pleasant, which can not only increase your grip, preventing the telescope from sliding your sweaty hands, but also improving its texture, avoiding tedious monotony.
A pair of Clamshell black style tube rings made by CNC keep OTA firmly. Thus, you can simply turn two locking screws to loosen or tighten the tube rings, which simplifies the configuration by avoiding the frequent use of small tools such as Allen keys or hollow head screws.
The bright green dust cap, the handle, the locking screws, the focus button and the decorative rings add more energy and vitality to the astrographer. White and green are the classic combination of the PHQ series.
There is a precise PO with 3 "rack at the back of the telescope. It's PO of a soft use with a double -speed adjustment. The rotator of the 80phq is marked with a precise graduation which makes your adjustment more accurate.
The 80PHQ inherits the optical design of the PHQ family, adopting a 3+1 quadruple lens structure which contains two pieces of ED glass which can effectively reduce chromatic aberration and improve clarity and sharpness.
It should be mentioned that all the astrographers of the PHQ family are delivered with a combination of integrated lenses rather than simply placing three main lenses and a corrector together on a line.
In other words, the entire optical system cannot work without only 1 lenses elements. This structure design leads to a more rational lentil arrangement, better control of the vinetack and superior image quality.
The 80PHQ focal report is f/7.5. He is a "long" focal report with other ASKAR counterparts. It is a little longer compared to the 107phq which is f/7 in focal connection.
Some users may be frustrated that it is difficult to compromise between 107phq and 80phq, because there seems to be so many things in common. And especially for those who start in astrophotography, complicated designations and confusing figures are really a major obstacle when they try, hopefully, to choose the right one among existing oceans of products.
Indeed, 107phq and 80phq are similar in many respects, in part because they are both newly developed refractory astrographers of the same family. However, even if they all have an excellent mechanical design and a sophisticated optical system, there are notable differences between the two.
At first glance, the Askar 80PHQ is much more compact. The 107PHQ measures 603 mm long and weighs 5.7 kg, while the 80PHQ measures 448 mm long and weighs 3.9 kg.
So, if your equatorial mount is not able to support heavy telescopes, or if you are tired of transporting a bulky focal telescope, then 80phq can be an excellent option.
Like the 107phq, you do not need to calculate the rear focus distance in the connection limit. In addition, users do not need to add an additional 1 × flattener due to its powerful flat -field optical design, which simplifies the operation.
Soon available a dedicated reducer
A 0.7x corrector/ reducer will soon be available for this telescope. So you can reduce the F/D ratio to 5.25 and obtain a double scope employs for astrophotography.
Correcting/reducing will support full format
