All about the Sky-Watcher AZ-GTi mount

To extend its range of mounts, Sky-Watcher offers a new model for users of glasses and telescopes interested in day or night observation... in GOTO (automatic pointing). The AZ-GTi Wifi GOTO is therefore an altazimuth mount (the simplest, most comfortable and versatile system to use), 2-axis motorized and equipped with its own Wifi network. Thanks to your smartphone (Google Android or Apple iOS system) and the free SynScan App application, you can easily control your mount wirelessly!

After entering the coordinates in the app and following the simple alignment procedure, you will be able to explore the Universe using your smartphone or tablet! No need to know the sky thanks to the database of more than 10,000 objects... and the help of the dual-axis motorization will save you from having to manually compensate for the rotation of the Earth. The AZ-GTi even allows you using SkyWatcher Freedom-Find™ technology to move your instrument manually without losing positioning. You then have the maximum freedom, choice, flexibility during your observations.

Thanks to a load capacity of 5kg (with an optional male Vixen type dovetail) you can use scopes up to 100/120mm in diameter or Maksutov-Cassegrain of 127mm as well as small Newtons (pay attention to the length of the tube in the 3 cases). The retractable aluminum tripod (optional #SW0418) is easily transportable. It is a set (mount + tripod) perfect for the nomadic observer.
