A perfect beginner's telescope
The N 150/750 optic: Very versatile, this Newtonian reflector is suitable for both beginners and experienced observers. It offers lots of light and great stability at a low price. The amount of light collected thanks to its imposing diameter of 150 mm makes it possible to clearly see objects very far from the deep sky such as the Ring Nebula in the Lyra or the Hantel Nebula. And globular clusters like M13 are resolved, at the edge, into many individual stars. Planetary observation also offers detailed images of Saturn, Jupiter, Venus and Mars. The aperture ratio of the lens is F/5. This telescope is therefore part of the fast Newtons. This type of lens is particularly suitable for photography. The collecting power is approximately 450 times greater than with the naked eye with an exit pupil of 7 mm.
The advantages in brief:
- Relatively powerful optics with an aperture of 150 mm
- Compact structure, therefore not very sensitive to vibrations and wind
- Parabolic primary mirror with limited curvature effect
- Thin attachment arms for high contrast images
- Easy transport and quick assembly
- The short focal length allows short exposure times in astrophotography
A quality eyepiece
The PDS version of the Explorer range comes with a DualSpeed focuser which has a 1:10 reducer allowing fine focusing. This is an essential asset for astrophotography but also highly appreciated in visual observation. In order to optimize the system for astrophotography, the length of the tube has been reduced slightly compared to that of the Explorer P version; in return, the secondary mirror has been enlarged.
